Internal Communications & Engagement Specialist (1-Year Fixed Term Contract)

POSITION OVERVIEW
The HR Communications & Engagement Specialist will play a key role in keeping all our staff informed, happy and engaged, managing a variety of company-wide internal communications and initiatives as part of our calendar or events and communications – such as our regular “all hands” meetings, staff digest emails, office engagement activities, and other general HR-related communications.
Reporting to the L&D Manager, this is a busy and varied role working in our Publishing HR team who support our Publishing group in West London; a highly skilled, engaged, and diverse group, servicing our development studios and leading the SOE (SEGA of Europe) Publishing services, which acts as our European HQ and collaborating with our SOA (SEGA of America), who have a group of UK based staff that require local HR support.
Our West London office is also home to our Studio Operations team who are language specialists, testing SEGA products and verifying any localised assets. Across the two teams there are approximately 280 staff with departments including Commercial Publishing through Sales, Marketing and PR, Business Development, Business and Product Planning, Online Technology, Language Quality Assurance, and various support functions including HR, Legal and Finance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ownership and management of our monthly company-wide all hands meetings (a.k.a. “shout-out”) – e.g: presentation content collation, hosting, Q&A, etc.
• Content and copywriting support for our weekly staff digest email newsletters
• Develop initiatives to boost employee morale, engagement, and retention.
• Regular content and community management of our staff intranet
• Working closely with Director of Corporate Communications, to build out our CSR
initiatives and enhance CSR efforts and community impact.
• In partnership with the L&D Manager, own and manage DEI programming such as –
Internal ERG program.
• Organisation and coordination of our calendar of events and communications
collaborating closely with our Office Manager
• Support to HR team on new staff inductions (including “induction days”)
• Ad-hoc Learning & Development and HR admin support collaborating closely with
our Publishing HR team – e.g: HR-related communications, invoicing, etc.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Prior working experience and keen interest in
developing a career in an Internal Comms and/or Engagement; preferably in a fast- paced and high-engagement environment
• Technical proficiency and prior experience working with the Microsoft Office suite – including PowerPoint and Outlook and Online tools such as Canva and Photoshop
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and understands the importance of stakeholder advocacy, engagement, approvals
• Passion for CSR and DEI, with experience of managing related programs.
• Uses experience to problem solve/resolve issues before they arise proactively
working with other departments
• Comfortable with working independently
