LEAD VERIFICATION ENGINEER
THE ROLE:
We are currently seeking a Lead Verification Engineer to assist with the development of AMD’s next generation data center acceleration products. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly strategic and important part of AMD’s business, targeting a set of customers that includes the most successful internet and cloud companies in the world.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all stages of IP verification, from developing comprehensive test plans that ensure coverage closure through to testbench architecture design and development.
You will be using modern tools and techniques, such as Random-Constrained Functional-Coverage driven UVM testbenches and will work alongside a diverse and experienced design team that will enable enormous opportunities for learning and self-development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing technical leadership, including mentoring junior engineers, and driving projects from initial requirements stage through to final design verification sign-off
- Writing/Implementing/Reviewing Test Plans
- Developing Testbenches and Verification Components such as UVCs, models, BFMs, and Re-usable Verification Environments
- Conducting and participating in Code Reviews
- Writing, Modifying, and Maintaining Random and Directed Test Cases and Libraries in SystemVerilog/UVM
- Analyzing Functional, Code, and Test Plan Coverage
- Implementing Assertions, Checkers, and Monitors
- Deploying Industry-Leading Verification Methodologies such as UVM and Formal Verification
- Triaging and Debugging Regressions
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in FPGA/ASIC front-end IP design verification
- In depth knowledge of modern verification practices including UVM and assertion-based testing
- Experience providing mentorship to junior engineers
- Proven track record of methodology improvements for high testbench reusability and scalability
- Familiarity collaborating with teams across geographies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with scripting languages – Python, TCL, Perl or other
- Familiarity with AMD-Xilinx tools and flows is beneficial
- Experience with object-oriented programming
- Formal verification experience beneficial
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related subject
