About the Role:

We are looking for a Legal Budget Program Manager to join Twitch's close-knit legal team. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Legal Operations, the position will support attorneys in opening, closing, and estimating their legal matters (including with outside counsel), managing the spend of the annual operating expense budget, and providing financial reporting to key stakeholders. 

The ability to think critically, write clearly, and not be afraid to ask questions is key to your success. Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights is essential.

You can work remotely in the United States or in our San Francisco, New York, or Seattle office locations. 

You Will:

  • Financial Management:
    • Own the annual Legal Team budget planning process. 
    • Manage Twitch’s legal matter tracking and budget estimation. 
  • Cost Control:
    • Validate charges made to the Legal Team cost centers each month.
    • Manage and approve invoices.
    • Coordinate with outside counsel firms to obtain actual spend on legal matters. 
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Perform quarterly reviews of matter value estimates to actual spend
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Provide quarterly budget summary reports to Twitch’s legal leadership team.
    • Support Amazon’s quarterly Legal budget review.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: 
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams providing financial guidance and support to ensure successful project execution.
  • Process Improvement: 
    • Continuously identify opportunities to enhance processes, systems, and controls to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and ensure accuracy.
  • Contract Management Tool support:
    • Assign contract requests reviews to the proper staff.
    • Address any support tickets.
    • Provide research support for any contact requests.

You Have:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience demonstrating an understanding of cost management, and basic financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in budgeting and forecasting techniques.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to conduct and communicate analysis around ambiguous fact patterns that require interpretation.
  • The ability to collaborate efficiently on time-sensitive issues.
  • The ability to independently problem solve efficiently and proactively.
