Come join the Legal Team charged with handling a wide variety of legal matters for Ubisoft’s operational teams. You will work closely with numerous cross-functional teams at a worldwide level, helping them with both their transactional and litigation needs. You will also work with the rest of the Legal group helping with any specific US law related issues. 

 

What You will do: 

Under the responsibility of our Legal Director, you will: 

  • Analyze, review, draft and negotiate agreements for a wide variety of third-party contractual relationships with our partners, including services, sales, advertising, licensing, distribution and manufacturing agreements. 
  • Advise and help prepare Ubisoft’s answers to investigations & inquiries from any government and/or regulatory authority and any US litigation. 
  • Advise local teams on a wide range of US legal issues, with a focus on business and operational topics. 
  • Act as a business partner for all internal stakeholders in order to anticipate and address all legal and business issues. 
  • Be involved at the inception of the various projects and contribute to defining the negotiation strategy in collaboration with the business and operational teams. 
  • Collaborate with other legal team members, and cross functional stakeholders, to support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes. 

What you’ll bring: 

  • You have a Law degree (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school. 
  • You are admitted to the bar of California and in good standing or are otherwise authorized to practice law in California. 
  • You have 5 to 10 years of related legal experience.  
  • You have proven drafting and negotiation skills, coupled with a sound and practical business judgement. 
  • You have intellectual creativity, adaptability and problem-solving skills to assess and mitigate risks and provide practical & innovative solutions. You are able to think outside the box, there is no box! 
  • You are agile & proactive, and able to handle different projects concurrently, to prioritize and deliver in a fast and demanding context.

The San Francisco base salary range for this position is $170K to 200K USD. The base pay offered may vary based on a candidate’s geographic region, qualifications, skills and experience among other factors. Compensation details reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, stock options, or benefits.
