- Gather hardware requirements from the software engineering teams, consolidate requirements, enter these in AMD’s Samples Management System.
- Follow up with board program managers or platform program managers on engineering samples orders status, order changes, or urgent requests.
- Sending and receiving shipments of hardware in support of local and global teams.
- Coordinate the movement and tracking of engineering samples between the Markham Hardware Library, the NPI labs, and other engineering teams.
- Arrange and process hardware reworks, debugging and repairs of engineering samples for local and global sites teams.
- Manage daily team requests to locate unplanned engineering samples.
- Manage physical inventory in our hardware library.
- Weekly tracking of shipped vs ordered hardware.
- Monthly reconciliation of actual hardware cost vs budgeted cost.
- Quarterly forecasting of materials demand based on product roadmap.
- 5+ years of experience in the electronics manufacturing field, inventory control and management process, and related program management skills.
- Strong experience with databases for data/order entries, and query searches of inventory.
- Strong knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
- Strong knowledge of computer equipment, motherboards, graphic cards, and comfortable in handling of computer hardware and PCBs.
- Knowledge of electronic components and schematics is an asset.
- Ability to lift boxes up to 20 lbs, or heavier boxes with assistance.
- College or university degree in an engineering, technical or business management field.
