Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc. is hiring Program Manager to Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products. Develop creative solutions and processes to meet aggressive post-silicon schedules. Supervise and technically guide various functional teams through all aspects of the lifecycle of AMD Platform Firmware for AMD products, from pre-silicon roadmap planning to post-silicon execution, leading to production release, and ensure qualification of all firmware deliverables. Define, plan, and drive projects and program plans based on management and senior technical guidance. Possess a thorough knowledge of the principles of project management and can apply them effectively on small to large size projects. Initiate significant changes to existing processes and methods to improve project and team efficiency. Create and maintain project management artifacts such as schedule, resource and resource forecast, risk, and issues logs. Provide unique views of project status updates and facilitate cross-development team dependencies and communications. Identify action or mitigation plans for issues or risks that arise during the project lifestyle. Collaborate with core teams and execution teams to identify areas that require special attention or escalations to identify corrective actions. Collect, analyze, organize, and publish work performance data via dashboards and recurring status reports. Confer with engineers, customers, or other stakeholders to discuss existing or potential electronics engineering projects or products. Prepare necessary criteria, procedures, reports, or plans for successful conduct of the project with consideration given to site preparation, facility validation, installation, quality assurance, and/or testing. Evaluate project work to ensure effectiveness, technical adequacy, or compatibility in the resolution of complex electronics engineering problems. Direct or coordinate activities concerned with manufacture, construction, installation, maintenance, operation, or modification of electronic equipment, products, and/or systems. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including computer hardware and software, applications, and programming, as well as knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.

Qualifications: Degree required

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering or program management role.

Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

Position requires experience in the following:

  • Logic and circuit design;
  • CAD tools;
  • Unix or Linux environments;
  • C or C++; and
  • SQL.

Experience may be gained through university-level coursework, research, project, assistantship, or internship experience.
