THE ROLE:

The SAP BASIS Architect will be responsible for leading the SAP Ecosystem including a global basis team, working closely with external partners like Software Providers, Cloud Providers, Systems Integrators, and Service Providers. Work as a technical advisor for internal customers in Business Applications, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity & Internal Audit to provide guidance and support for Operations as well as Project Delivery for SAP Ecosystem. Full ownership of SAP stack which includes SAP RISE, S/4 HANA, SAP BTP, SAP SaaS Applications e.g., SuccessFactors, Concur, IBP, Ariba, etc.

THE PERSON:

Driven and motivated with leadership skills with ability to influence and negotiate multiple internal stakeholders.  Manage and deliver multiple priorities in a constrained timeline, with strong business acumen with the ability to establish trust / relationships quickly. Work effectively in multiple time zones with global teams. Excellent communication skills. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure best-in-class architecture for the SAP ecosystem with a viewpoint of high availability & performance 
• Develop, Coach & Lead Basis team members offshore & onsite to ensure best-in-class user experience 
• Responsible for SAP Basis functions like certificate management, software installation, setup, upgrades, patches, performance monitoring, high availability, disaster recovery, tuning, capacity management, utilizing enterprise standards/tools & security of SAP ecosystem
• Manage change control, incident response, and testing processes for changes related to SAP Systems
• Develop a 24x7 response to system problems and drive trouble shooting, root-cause analysis, issue resolution and escalations
• Partner with service providers and IT functions to prioritize, protect & leverage AMD's SAP Investment
• Manage Enterprise Job Scheduling (Redwood RMJ) 
• Proactively monitor, analyze, and identify trends for system performance, system availability and resource utilization
• Drive optimal utilization of SAP Solution Manager in managing the technical landscape
• Lead Basis related projects

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in SAP BASIS/Security Administration including one or more of the following SAP modules - S4, eHANA, PI/PO, ERP, GTS, GRC, Solution Manager, and CRM.
• Experience with S/4 HANA, SAP BTP, HANA Database and SAP SaaS Application Administration (e.g., Ariba, SuccessFactors, Concur, IBP).
• Demonstrated knowledge of best practices for SAP Basis Administration and operations.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced and global environment.
• Familiarity with SDLC best practices, Agile Methodology, and Waterfall Methodology.
• Experience working with Cloud Platforms
• Evangelizing a Cybersecurity mindset
• Experience in support SOX compliance of Business Applications

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred, or a combination of equivalent education and experience
