About the role: Job Description.
The Regional Staff Security Specialist (India) reports directly to the ASIA Global Physical Security Manager. The RSSS will oversee physical security programs at all sites located within India (Hyderabad, Bangalore, Delhi & Mumbai), to include security guard services, Global security operations center (GSOC), Visitor management, IDS, access control, alarm and CCTV systems, Projects, site surveys, and assist investigations. You will supervise employees and contractors performing specific security and safety objectives and monitor vendor performance and expenses. You will continually identify, evaluate and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities and provide business leaders the information they need to make informed decisions. You will ensure regional alignment with our global security programs, to include Risk Assessment and Threat Investigations, Risk Management, Special Events Security and assist Environmental Health and Safety team. We are seeking an experienced security professional who will communicate and execute Global Security risk management policies and priorities to drive organizational effectiveness and alignment with AMD goals and business security objectives. The successful candidate is a valued collaborator who can work successfully with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies and develop programs that drive sustainable effectiveness to help safeguard the company’s critical assets, employees, facilities, operations and reputation.
What you’ll do:
Physical Operational Security: Monitor, maintain and audit against the company’s policies and standards for the protection of AMD facilities. Direct site security and advise site leaders in implementing global security policies, standards and systems. Areas covered may include perimeter security, lighting and security signage, CCTV and video management system/analytics, access controls, visitor management systems, and intrusion detection alarms.
Manned Guarding Operations: Manage contracted services providers to ensure high quality services. Monitor conformance of contract expectations using (KPI) key performance indicators and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR).
Projects: actively work with Global Systems team and support on new project security design and execution timely to align global security standards.
Event Security: Support the security of personnel at corporate events by conducting security advances, preparing security risk assessments and planning documents, and arranging security support at designated venues.
Workplace Violence Prevention and Response: Support implementation of Global security Program to help ensure the prevention of threats and violence in the workplace and support response in the event of an incident.
Investigations: Coordinate complex and sensitive investigations as guided by Global Investigations team regarding security threats and violations. Coordinate with law enforcement as required and in partnership with legal and Global Physical Security Director.
Security Training and Awareness: Develop and establish security-related education and training materials/programs for the sites and team members. Liaise with other site functions to facilitate security awareness within employees and help foster a proactive security culture in the company.
Executive protection support: Assist Global EP team on key Executive Visits and movements to India as directed by Global Physical Security Director.
Environmental Health and Safety (EHS): Assist and Coordinate with AMD Global EHS manager and regional EHS team members to help ensure the health and safety of our employees as well as governmental regulations and compliance.
Regional Budget: Effectively manage the India OPEX and CAPEX Budget, resources and workforce as guided by Global Physical Security Director.
Stakeholder Relationships: Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal partners, including HSSE leadership, functional business areas, GRE, HR, Procurement and site leadership.
Liaison: Cultivate and maintain effective liaison with relevant external entities, such as government and law enforcement agencies, industry bodies, regulatory agencies and private sector counterparts
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree and equivalent with 15 years corporate security experience or Military/Police equivalent which includes 5 years of Corporate Security Management focus on Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Corporate Security practices.
- Experience in handling contracts management and regional budget.
- Knowledge in electronic Security operations which includes Lenel, Ccure, CCTV, Emergency Communication process and Business continuity aspects.
- A proven track record of working collaboratively with subject matter experts on
- cross-functional teams, balancing disparate priorities, and rapid problem solving in high-stress situations.
- Outstanding communication skills including written, verbal and presentation skills, in both English and local language fluency.
- Willingness to provide on-call management support, including nights, weekends and
Holidays if needed.
- Exceptional interpersonal relationship skills and professional level of emotional intelligence necessary to achieve the desired objective deliverables
- Skill in decision making and problem solving in the absence of complete or accurate data
- Exhibit attention to detail, sense of urgency and ability to handle multiple tasks in fast paced environment
- Preferably have working relationships with local authorities
- Demonstrated commitment to AMD core values.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally whenever required.
- ASIS CPP and/or PSP certification preferred.
