Your Purpose
Be a trusted business partner with production (project teams) to provide financial assistance for decision making and ensure effective and efficient collaboration with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
The Senior Financial Planning Analyst enables senior management and production teams to make data-driven choices and critical decisions through financial insights and analysis. This role focuses on fostering strong relationships with project teams, through tailored business support and conducting regular budget preparation, reporting, and analysis.
The individual will be facilitating effective collaboration with all stakeholders at projects, studio, collaboration studios and HQ.
Your Daily Adventure
This role will report to the Financial Planning Manager for the Singapore studio.
Projects Budgeting and Reporting
- Prepare initial project budgets and monthly forecast update
- Consolidate and analyze financial data (staffing, activity costs, actuals, forecast)
- Monitor and challenge projects’ budgets and ensure the projects’ spending are within the budget
- Build and maintain dashboards on financial status and risks
- Provide analysis and recommendations to optimize costs and improve financial performance
- Manage and maintain staffing tools
- Consolidate and prepare projects’ P&L
- Prepare finance dashboard for Production’s major updates to HQ
Projects Business Partner
- Demonstrate initiative to engage with business stakeholders in making recommendations for financial/business process and tool improvement
- Conduct regular meetings with producers and executives to communicate finance vision
- Conduct business studies on historical performance, conduct benchmarking, develop financial models, identify trends, conduct ad hoc studies
- Provide additional analysis and forecast, looking for correlations between finance and production data
- Raise flags when need be to address quickly any potential domain issue
- Analyze current tools and practices, assess about efficiency and drive change if need be
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in finance or accounting)
- At least 8 years of relevant FP&A experience, particularly in project controlling and management
- Proven track record of working closely with production teams throughout the project cycle
- Self-driven contributor who takes on a hands-on and inquisitive approach in data analytics and recommendations for financial/business process and tool improvement
- Resilient and able to adapt quickly to address changes and issues with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills (spoken and written), presentation skill and good interpersonal skills to influence and business partner effectively with the key stakeholders
- Ability to work in an unstructured environment, navigate ambiguity, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, and cut through complexity
- Ability to drive, motivate and have team spirit, passion for gaming is a plus
- Fluency in English
- Proficient in Microsoft suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Query), exposure to Data Visualization tools (Tableau), and demonstrated record in learning/deploying IT tools
