Senior Product Manager - Self-Service Fan Care

 

You're the Senior Product Manager.

You are part of EA's Fan Care organization that strives to make EA known for taking care of players. You will report to the Director of Product for Self-Service Fan Care and lead products and product features to both improve existing and develop new player experiences in the Fan Care space. You will lead product planning throughout the product lifecycle to ensure our offerings support the strategy and goals of EA. You'll collaborate with a variety of partners to design products in Fan Care. You will gain insights from studios and other organizations within Fan Growth that influence your product roadmap. 

You are an expert Senior Product Manager and are great at problem statement development, product design, delivery and collaboration. You assess the trends of customer experience in the gaming and interactive entertainment industries, formulate product strategies and have the ability to develop support experiences that show empathy for EA fans and players. You are successful at leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders to deliver features and products that support positive fan experiences and business objectives. You have experience in the gaming industry and customer experience organizations.

So how does a Senior Product Manager help make EA known for taking care of players?

Product management

  • Research, contextualize and apply customer experience and gaming related trends to contribute creative ideas for the development and updating of your product line’s strategy 
  • Understand the needs of EA players and fans to advocate for their needs and identify digital product opportunities
  • Formulate strategies for the products you oversee, with input from your extended team and stakeholders, in alignment with the product line and EA goals
  • Distill a product strategy into feature designs, which can take the form of web workflows, API's, low fidelity UI's and other artifacts. Write product specifications that can be consumed by engineering with detailed and testable acceptance criteria
  • Establish and track measurable success criteria and metrics for products, including business measurements
  • Execute product delivery by leading a cross-functional team. Provide detailed information to team members to enable effective and predictable delivery
  • Manages prioritization of the backlog. Mediates prioritization conversations with stakeholders, leveraging data, understanding of fan needs and the product strategy as inputs
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and develop contingency plans
  • Communicate product development and performance updates to stakeholders to demonstrate progress. Ensures the return on investment and relevance over time of features remains appropriate.

If you're interested in this role, you'll need these skills or experiences:

  • Have 5+ years of relevant experience in a Product Management role
  • Passionate about understanding users, their needs and aspirations
  • Comfortable at managing ambiguity through a combination of communication, analytical, and decisiveness skills
  • Adaptable to rapidly changing environments and contexts
  • Adept at coaching and empowering team members to support the delivery of impactful and differentiating experiences
  • Demonstrate bias for action to experiment, add value in the short term but also deliver value in line with the long term strategy
  • Like managing products from brainstorming through development to execution
  • Enjoy working with a group of partners to accomplish goals

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the range and benefits for your specific location.

Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.


BASE SALARY RANGES

• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
º $131,600 - $213,300 USD Annually
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
º $131,600 - $213,300 USD Annually
• Jersey City, NJ :
º $154,800 - $213,300 USD Annually
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
º $131,600 - $179,600 USD Annually
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
º $131,600 - $195,200 USD Annually
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $114,050 - $171,750 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
