THE ROLE
Provide daily end-user technical and operations support to ensure smooth operations through regular maintenance, housekeeping, training, and knowledge transfer.
Track all work via ServiceNow and conduct a quarterly review of case closures for the APAC team, owning and driving the metrics report.
Participate in Global Projects and Local Initiatives, as well as any ad hoc requests (e.g., coordinating ISO/IA/OHSAS/FA policies and procedures to ensure documentation and compliance).
Manage IT processes and systems within the area of responsibility to meet performance goals.
THE PERSON:
you have excellent troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with various operating systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure quality control by meeting well-defined shared objectives and KPIs, including ownership of escalated issues from 1st and 2nd line support.
Handle trouble tickets and mentor junior team members in problem resolution.
Act as the IT business contact for the area of responsibility, ensuring alignment with business needs.
Meet with Key Stakeholders to assess and define system requirements.
Analyze user feedback to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions.
Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to enhance and design IT infrastructure.
Work with vendors for IT hardware/software procurement and installation.
Oversee the development, installation, configuration, upgrades, and administration of computer systems.
Monitor computer systems and networks for viruses, malfunctions, and errors.
Troubleshoot technical issues and develop effective solutions.
Maintain documentation for operational procedures, processes, and troubleshooting.
Conduct training sessions for end-users on new systems, protocols, and best practices.
Stay updated on latest technology advancements, protocols, and industry best practices.
Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours support.
Provide first-level ad hoc support to Network, IT Engineering, and Infosec teams.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
5 - 10 years’ experience as a Senior IT Engineer / Systems Engineer.
Familiarity with Windows operating systems.
Strong knowledge of IT Operations support.
Proven track record in User Experience and stakeholder collaboration.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in Japanese Language, and at least intermediate level in English.
