The Project Management Office (PMO) within AMD’s Data Center GPU (DCGPU) group has an immediate opening for a GPU Ops Implementation Program Manager. In this role, you will be working closely with the GPU development leadership team supporting Instinct™ accelerators.  You must thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a strong understanding of the ASIC and PCB manufacturing, configuration mangement, shipping and RMA processes and tools.  Experience with the NPI to production transition process, a solid background working with project management techniques, excellent communication skills, and a desire to work with cross-functional teams to develop ground-breaking products are key to success in this role. 

 

The Job:

In this role, you will be required to:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of AMD processes and tools supporting configuration management, change control, product planning, assembly and test, shipment and invoicing of NPI and production material and RMAs
  • Establish a working understanding of strategic customer operations processes and data requirements
  • Ensure the implementation of program decisions across a large cross functional team including engineering, global operations and the business unit
  • Identify risks and define mitigation strategies to address
  • Provide clear and timely communications to multiple stakeholders

 

Key Qualifications:

  • Under Graduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of technical program management experience on projects with medium to high complexity
  • Working knowledge of ASIC and PCB manufacturing and operations processes and tools
  • Proficient in productivity tools including Agile, Confluence, Jira, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Project, SAP, OneNote, and Excel
  • Must possess strong leadership skills and be a team player
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems, work with ambiguity and be self-motivated
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • PMP certificate
