 VP Product Management, Computing and Graphics

 

THE ROLE

The Corporate Vice President of Product Management will play a pivotal role in driving our company's technological advancements. He/she will provide the leadership, vision, and strategic direction necessary to drive the strategic portfolio direction of Client products.  Additionally, they will be responsible for leading a team of product managers, managing the P&L across all  Client product lines, and overseeing the entire product life cycle. This includes everything from strategic planning to tactical execution, and ensuring that the products continue to innovate and meet the needs of consumers and clients. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ownership of client product portfolio and responsible for driving execution from planning thorough high-volume production and end of life
  • Synthesize customer requirements, competitive intelligence, Technology trends and AMD's IP into winning products
  • Develop product business cases in collaboration with go-to-market and sales teams that meet client business growth and share objectives
  • Collaborate with engineering execution teams to ensure product requirements, goals and objectives are met and exceeded
  • Partner with engineering teams to create an ecosystem that supports the value proposition and vision for AMD’s client products
  • Manage product migration across multiple generations supporting consistent share growth in selected vertical markets
  • Represent AMD’s interests in customer meetings, Industry consortiums, forums and events with the intent to demonstrate AMD’s product leadership
  • Manage a team of product managers across the full product scope (HW, SW, platform) and lifetime

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated experience in product management, with a proven track record of progressively responsible roles in leadership and management.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the semiconductor industry, software development, and emerging technologies.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire technical teams, driving them to achieve exceptional results.
  • Strategic Thinker: A strategic mindset with a strong ability to translate vision into executable plans.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Innovation: A strong drive for innovation and a commitment to staying at the cutting edge of technology.

EDUCATIONAL CREDENTIALS:

Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Marketing or a related field;  MBA or other advanced business degree is a plus.
