We are now looking for a talented

Lead Graphics Programmer to join our team

Have you ever dreamed of leading the rendering work in a full-scale AAA game project? If you have, this is your chance! At RedLynx we are collaborating closely with other Ubisoft studios to develop an ambitious AAA title. RedLynx is leading the rendering work in this project and we want you to lead our graphics programming team! In this role, you get to work closely with other tech leads and directors, creative teams and artists to overcome technical obstacles and make the artistic vision of the game come to life. You own both the high-level rendering roadmap and detailed execution plans, create aspiring objectives and quality standards for the graphics programming team, and mentor your team members to support their continuous learning and development.

If you live and breathe graphics programming, want to help others progress on this path, have passion for video games, and don’t give up in the face of tricky technical challenges, let us hear from you! You will have the opportunity to work with Ubisoft’s in-house engines, which are industry-leading tools capable of creating some of the most advanced content ever seen in video games. You will also have a unique possibility to work for a top game publisher and access Ubisoft’s fantastic developer resources and networks. At the same time, you get to enjoy a cozy and friendly Finnish game development studio and a superbly skilled team to work with.

Your skills and experience

  • Demonstrated leadership skills or strong motivation and potential to grow into a leadership role
  • Mastery of C/C++
  • Strong understanding of 3D rendering algorithms and related mathematics
  • Experience in delivering a high-quality game (preferably on PC/Console) to market
  • Experience in writing shaders in HLSL or GLSL
  • Solid debugging skills including the ability to debug at an assembly-level when necessary
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset – you engage others actively and work closely with other disciplines to solve complex issues
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills - you will work together with other programmers, artists and designers
  • Self-guided and highly proactive working style, with a strong motivation to guide and positively influence your team members

We also appreciate

  • Experience from AAA projects
  • Understanding the visual aspects of computer graphics (PBR materials, lighting, and animation)
  • Experience in multiple graphics APIs
  • Studies in Computer Science or other relevant fields
